Introduction
Experience the way of green hydrogen
The world is changing and in demand for sustainable answers for a greener future. To meet the challenge, and to make an impactful participation at IAA Mobility 2021, Hyundai focused on current discussions about sustainable technologies and the Hyundai way to use green hydrogen.
The Challenge
Making a difference
Car shows have presented a very consistent picture over the past few decades. The focus was clear – it was the cars themselves. But, with changing global demands, Hyundai decided to go a different way.
Instead of showcasing latest car designs and horsepowers under the hood, Hyundai shifted gears by focusing on the hydrogen cycle. Uniplan helped its client stand out from the crowd and make Hyundai's groundbreaking message understood. We designed an exceptional booth that focused on the brand's future technologies and placed green hydrogen technology in the spotlight. In this way, we conveyed our understanding of Hyundai's vision of the future in a trade fair stand. It invited people to enter into conversation - and provided plenty to talk about.
What We Did
Immersion in technology: a fascinating process
Presenting complex technology in an understandable, vivid and inspiring way was the aim. Sustainable methods through reusable materials was the pre-condition.
We conceptualised the booth so thematic design, architecture and communication guided visitors through the fascinating process of converting water into pure, sustainable energy. The framework of the booth consisted of a transparent grid, symbolizing Hydrogen-based reality. This structures was interwoven with a water and hydrogen theme that centered around an immersive sculpture in the heart of the booth. The exciting installation of images, videos, light, 3D models, sound and hybrid waterfall symbolised the complexity and innovation of Hyundai's sustainable mobility.
How We Delivered
Transforming Hyundai´s message
On-site, our team managed the challenging assembly of a uniquely configured scaffolding system integrating a customized LED system and waterfall installation.
Two basins collected the water and fed it into the centrepiece, where animations and water columns simulated emerging hydrogen and starting the hydrogen-water cycle. The stand's distinctive exterior structure was made of rental scaffolding and the stand floor was made of recycled rubber. Through this use of sustainable and recyclable materials and the architectural concept, a strong purposeful message around positive energy supported Hyundai´s booth.
